I love being a turtle!

Anyone remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? (also, anyone notice their acronym matches mine?)

One phrase from the movies recently popped in my head.

"I love being a turtle!"

The turtles would say it in various situations where being a turtle helped them (as compared to say, being human or being a dog). For example, Michelangelo dodges an attack by ducking his head into his shell and exclaims the catchprase.

What about you?

Do you love being you? Seriously, do you? Now, don't misunderstand, loving yourself doesn't mean that you never take steps to improve yourself.

In fact, one of the ways you show love to yourself is by taking steps to improve. Watch the movies or the cartoon, the turtles were constantly in training and they also had a trainer, the rat sensei Splinter. But no matter what stage in their training, they loved the things about them that were unique and enjoyed taking steps to improve them.

Are you a mom or dad? Love it. Become better at it. Are you an employee? Do your best at your job. Are you a student? Study hard.

Do you have a body with all of its uniqueness and frailties? Of course you do, so love it and bring it to me. I will be your sensei.

I will bring out your best and help you to love being you.
